Meet
Matthew Braud, F.N.P.
Matthew “Matt” Braud was born and raised in River Ridge, Louisiana. He graduated from Jesuit High School, where he helped lead the Blue Jays to three swimming state championships, a baseball state championship in 2011, and a Legion World Series championship in 2012. He went on to attend Tulane University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and continued his athletic career as a member of the baseball team, including two trips to the NCAA tournament. He was selected by his coaches to represent the team on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee to help advocate for all other student-athletes, as well as organize community outreach events for student-athletes.
After graduating from Tulane University in May of 2016, he attended and graduated from nursing school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2019. He started his nursing career at University Medical Center in New Orleans in the Burn Intensive Care Unit, where he was an integral part of the creation and growth of the newly opened unit for five years.
In 2021, he continued his academic journey by attending nurse practitioner school at the University of South Alabama, from which he graduated with a master’s degree as a family and acute care nurse practitioner in the spring of 2024.
Matt lives in Metairie with his wife and daughter and is starting his new career as a nationally certified and state-licensed nurse practitioner in the field of orthopedics. He will continue to serve his patients with the same passion and commitment at Crescent City Orthopedics.
