Symptoms

• Severe pain in the hip or groin area
• Inability to bear weight on the affected leg
• Swelling, bruising, stiffness, or deformity of the affected leg

Causes

• Trauma to the hip joint, often due to a fall
• Weakened bones due to osteoporosis or other bone diseases
